Lidija Knežević, representative of CRNVO, participated in today's meeting of the Minister of the Interior Sergej Sekulović with representatives of NGOs and presented proposals and suggestions in order to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and the civil sector. The Minister pointed out that one of the priorities in the work of that department will be the strengthening of cooperation with the civil sector, based on openness and exchange of information. “The Ministry of Internal Affairs will give its full contribution to the creation of a state administration tailored to the citizens,” he pointed out. He also said that constructive criticism, initiative and knowledge of the civil sector are necessary for the Ministry of the Interior to consistently fulfill its responsabilities, but also to create new policies that should create a balance between the professional work of officials and the principles of protection of civil liberties and rights.
