Trainings for the less developed CSO

Project writing and crowdfunding

Petrovac, Hotel “PALAS” 4th-6th  APRIL 2020

The main goal of the training was that representatives of small and underdeveloped CSOs acquire
knowledge about the rules, process and phases of project proposals writing, as well as on
crowdfunding. During the three-day training, the participants learned more about these processes
through both theoretical and practical segments of the training.

Specific objective was to develop to develop draft project proposals of 6 small and underdeveloped
CSOs whose representatives participated in the training.

In overall, 12 participants took part in the programme. Training was held from 4th to 6th April 2019,
in hotel Palas, in Petrovac.

The training program was interactive and participatory. Participants worked on: SWOT analysis, tree of problems, tree of objectives, overall and specific objectives, indicators, activities, results, target groups, budget and crowdfunding. The final result are drafts of 7 project proposals.


Project writing for state funds

The main goal of the training was that representatives of small and underdeveloped CSOs acquire knowledge about the rules, process and phases of project proposals writing, as well as on planning budget of the project. Emphasis was put on project proposal forms required by ministries in the Government of Montenegro. During the three-day training, the participants learned more about these processes through both theoretical and practical segments of the training.

Specific objective was to develop to develop draft project proposals of 8 small and underdeveloped CSOs whose representatives participated in the training.

In overall, 17 participants took part in the programme. Training was held from 3rd to 5th March 2020, in hotel Palas, in Petrovac.

Participants worked on: tree of problems, tree of objectives, overall and specific objectives, indicators, activities, results, target groups and budget. During three days of the training, a lot of the material was developed. After every group work session, results of the groups were analysed by the participants and trainers. During the trainig, trainers/consultants made their inputs which was a base for final discussions. The final result are drafts of 8 project proposals.

Kolašin, Hotel „Four points by Sheraton“, 3rd -5th  March 2020

The main goal of the training was that representatives of small and underdeveloped CSOs acquire knowledge about the rules, process and phases of project proposals writing for public calls that published by ministries. During the three-day training, the participants learned more about these processes through both theoretical and practical segments of the training.

Specific objective was to develop 5 draft project proposals by representatives of small and underdeveloped CSOs that participated in the training.

In overall, 14 participants took part in the programme. Training was held from 26 to 28 February 2020, in hotel Four Points by Sheraton, Kolasin.

Participants worked on: analysis of context, analysis of stakeholders, tree of problems, tree of objectives, overall and specific objectives, tagret groups and final beneficiares, activities, methodology, sustainability and  budget. During three training days, a lot of the material was developed. After every group work session, results of the groups were analysed by the participants and trainers. During the trainig, trainers/consultants made their inputs which was a base for final discussions. The final result are drafts of 5 project proposals.


Public advocacy and communication

Berane, Hotel “Berane”, 23rd-25th September 2019

The main goal of the training was improving the knowledge of the representatives of NGOs on the concept, importance and characteristics of advocacy, the way in which advocacy can help to change policy, and the necessary steps in the advocacy campaign. During the three-day training, the participants got more information on public advocacy and communication through theoretical and practical work.

Specific objective was to develop to develop draft plans of public advocacy that are integral part of this report.

In overall, 9 participants took part at the programme. They get familiar with the concept and stages of advocacy and the importance of identifying and researching problems advocacy campaign. Also, participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with objectives of advocacy and learn about interest groups, allies and opponents in the public advocacy campaign, as well as to analyze interest groups related to selected topics of public advocacy campaign all that in order to develop an action plan for the campaign.

Strategic planning

Bečići, Hotel „Mediteran“, 21st-23rd September 2020

The main goal of the training was that representatives of small and underdeveloped CSOs acquire
knowledge about the rules, process and phases of strategic planning and organizational management, as
well as on the rules of development, structure and method of creating a strategic document. During the
three-day training, the participants got more information on the strategic planning process through theoretical and practical work.

Specific objective was to develop to develop draft strategic plans of 7 small and underdeveloped CSOs
whose representatives participated in the training. In overall, 14 participants took part at the programme.

Participants worked on: vision, mission and values; SWOT and PEST analyses;
identification of problem fields; analyses of problems; strategic goals and operational goals; key activities and budgeting. The final results is draft of the 7 strategic plans.

Strategic planning

Hotel “Palas”, 13th -15th March 2019

 

Goal of this training was that representatives of small CSOs gain knowledge on rules, process and stages of strategic planning, which is why they will practically work on making of strategic plans. In that way 12 representative of CSOs  defined their further development, areas of work and precise steps in their future work.

By the end of the training participants:

  • Did analysis of environment for work of their organisation
  • Did analysis of organisation’s capacity
  • Created key goals and activities for next two years
  • Made blueprint of organisation’s operational plan for next two years
