Writing project proposals for EU funded programs

Budva, June 3-5, 2020

Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CRNVO), through the Resource Centre for Civil Society Organisations organized a training on the topic “Writing Project Proposals for EU funded Programs”. The aim of this training is to increase level of skills and knowledge among CSO representatives in the field of preparation of project proposals financed by EU funds.

Training contributed to achievement of the following objectives:

  • to increase level of information and knowledge on project cycle management;
  • to assist participants in developing skills necessary for analytic and planning phase of logical framework approach;
  • to provide space for practical work on project proposals, in particular on logical framework matrix, concept note, full application form and budget;
  • to familiarize participants with EU funding rules and procedures;
  • to encourage joint project planning among different CSOs.

Participants of the training were 13  representatives of  medium-sized local and national CSOs (2 representatives per organization  who are actively involved in the work of the organization).

Both modules of the training were organized in municipalities of Budva (Petrovac), 27-29 May, and  3-5 June 1st, 2020

Methodology included theoretical and practical work.  All sessions started with theoretical inputs, and were followed with applying the lesson on concrete topics. In order to ensure quality of the learning process, trainers used different interactive techniques: brainstorming, frontal presentations, plenum discussion, group work, case studies etc.

Through group work, participants have worked on: context analysis, stakeholder analysis, tree of problems, tree of goals and selection of strategies, logical framework matrix and later filling in concept note, grant application form and budget. Despite lack of time for detailed work, most of the groups have succeeded to finalise their logical framework matrix, representing central output of project proposal.

Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CRNVO), through the Resource Centre for Civil Society Organisations organized a training on the topic “Writing Project Proposals for EU funded Programs”. The aim of this training is to increase level of skills and knowledge among CSO representatives in the field of preparation of project proposals financed by EU funds. Training contributed to achievement of the following objectives:

 – to increase level of information and knowledge on project cycle management;
– to assist participants in developing skills necessary for analytic and planning phase of logical framework approach;
– to provide space for practical work on project proposals, in particular on logical framework matrix, concept note, full application form and budget;
– to familiarize participants with EU funding rules and procedures;
– to encourage joint project planning among different CSOs.

Participants of the training were 22 representatives) of local and national CSOs and media, out of which 8 representatives of 4 medium-sized CSOs (2 representatives per organization who are actively involved in the work of the organization), and 14 representatives of 7 media in Montenegro (2 participants per media). One NGO was disqualified due to administrative barriers to participate (the founders decided to officially close the organization just before the training started).

 Initially, beneficiaries of the training were only mid-sized NGOs, but later CRNVO in cooperation with EU Delegation to Montenegro decided to also invite journalists, who could benefit from the upcoming 2019 IPA Media Professionalism Program.

The first module of the training was organized in Podgorica, 23-25 May, and the second in Bar, on May 30th – June 1st , 2019.

Human resource management

Podgorica, June, 28TH – 29TH 2019

Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CRNVO), through the Resource Centre for Civil Society Organisations organized a training on the topic “Human resource management.” Training focuses on the basic principles of human resource management, motivation, various processes in non-governmental organizations, human resource planning, solving problems that arise in interaction between people at work and all other elements that are important for the successful functioning of a non-governmental organization. Training contributed to achievement of the following objectives:

– To advance knowledge and skills with various methods and techniques
– To learn how to recruit talents and how to keep good workers
– To get additional information
– To make new contacts and share experience

Participants of the training were 12 representatives of 6 semi developed CSOs (two persons from one organization). Organizations were from Podgorica, Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Nikšić and Bijelo Polje (north and central part of Montenegro). The group of participants was heterogeneous in working experience in CSO sector. There were 8 female and 4 male participants.

Training was organized in Podgorica on 28-29 June 2019.

Training was devoted to the basic areas and logics in the HR domain and to the development of HR domains as a management area. Some of the topics were Recruitment and staff selection; Attracting talents, Linked In and His Role, Screening talents: Hoganscreening, psychological testing, Assessment methods and Interview: methods and procedures. Training content included the key elements of forms of Performance measurement in HR, The concept of KPI and its definition, Collaborative platforms and Motivation 2.0 and Daniel Pink's theory. The Training Agenda was implemented as planned. During the work, trainer used interactive mode by using various techniques (brainstorming, work in small groups, group discussion, presentations, reporting, etc.) with using of PPT presentations.

Participants worked in six groups on concrete assignments. They worked on preparation of CV form in Google Forms tool, simulation and role play for interview and on application of Pink's theory to concrete cases.

Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CRNVO), through the Resource Centre for Civil Society Organisations organized a training on the topic “Human resource management.” Training had following objectives:

  • How to pick right candidate for work in organisation
  • which tools to use and how to invest in development of employees
  • how to keep quality staff

Participants of the training were 12 representatives of 6 semi developed CSOs (two persons from one organization).

Training was organized in Budva on 22-24 July 2020

Research and research metodology

Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CRNVO), through the Resource Centre for Civil Society Organisations organized a training on the topic “Research and research methodology.” Participants of the training will acquire research skills through the introduction  of basic themes from research methodology in social sciences. Training had following objectives:

  • how to set up basic settings
  • determining research methodology
  • determining research questions
  • determining research design
  • collecting and processing data

Participants of the training were 12 representatives of 6 semi developed CSOs (two persons from one organization).
